This
qualification is one the mandatory units that make up the Level 3 Personal
Trainer course but can also be of benefit to candidates who wish to enhance
their fitness qualifications to provide clients with Nutrition and Weight
Management advice. |

| Course Content: |
|
On this course you will learn about nutrition and its relationship to
good health. You will be able to identify nutrients, vitamins, minerals and
antioxidants and offer clients nutritional advice, highlighting the
importance of exercise and energy balance for weight management. You
will be able to recommend sensible healthy eating strategies and
modify recipes and diets for a variety of needs. |
| Course Structure: |

This qualification is
delivered through a combination of lectures and class discussions, which
are supported by PowerPoint presentations and a student handbook |
|
Assessment: |
|
Throughout the course you
will gather the knowledge to complete both a case study and a multiple
choice exam. The exam consists of 50 questions and you need 35 correct
answers to be successful, this is externally marked and results are normally
available within 2 weeks. |
